The Roche Fellowship Program, with locations in New York City and Genentech’s South San Francisco campus, provides the opportunity for the fellow to explore various functional areas of the pharmaceutical industry.

Clinical Sciences - Late Stage Development

The Clinical Science - Late Stage Development fellowship is a two-year program, designed to provide training in clinical trial design and execution. The core fellowship will allow the fellow to obtain targeted training in clinical trial development including protocol development, medical data review and analysis of study data. During the second year of the fellowship, there is an opportunity to participate in a rotation to broaden the fellow’s skill set and industry exposure. The fellow will be based in South San Francisco, CA.

Clinical Sciences - Translational Medicine

The Clinical Science-Translational Medicine fellowship is a two-year program that provides the fellow with specialized in-depth training and the skills necessary for a Clinical Scientist within the pharmaceutical industry. The core fellowship during the first year allows the fellow to explore various aspects of early development from translation of preclinical research to the development of biomarkers and ultimately the design, execution and analysis of phase 1 and 2 clinical trials. During the second year of the fellowship, there is an opportunity to rotate to other departments or external academic or government institutions in order to broaden the fellows’ experience. The fellow will be based in New York City.

Clinical Operations

The Clinical Operations Oncology fellowship is a two year program. The role would involve providing the operational expertise and leadership to one or more clinical operations teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all operational aspects of one or more studies through all phases of Clinical Study Management (Plan, Initiate, Conduct, Close), in accordance with the appropriate quality standards including ICH/GCP and applicable regulations. The fellow will be based in South San Francisco, CA.

Drug Regulatory Affairs

The Drug Regulatory Affairs fellowship is a two year fellowship program. The core fellowship during the first year allows the fellow to gain specialized in-depth training and develop the necessary skills in Regulatory Affairs. During the second year of the fellowship, The Roche Group encourages rotations to other areas of Regulatory Affairs or departments or external academic or government institutions in order to broaden the fellows’ experience. The fellow(s) will be based in either New York City or South San Francisco, and will have the opportunity to work on early and late stage development programs across therapeutic areas.

US Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison

The US Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison fellowship is a one year program and is designed to expose the fellow to a broad range of corporate and field-based US Medical Affairs activities within a specific therapeutic area. The fellow will be based in South San Francisco, CA and will include rotations in both US Medical Affairs and with the Medical Science Liaison team.

Medical Communications

The Medical Communications Fellowship is a 2-year program designed to provide the fellow training in core competencies related to medical information in order to effectively communicate relevant, timely, accurate, and balanced information on Roche Group products to our customers.  During the second year of the fellowship, there may be an opportunity to participate in a rotation to broaden the fellow’s skill set and gain a breadth of industry experiences. The fellow will be based in South San Francisco, CA.
