Consumer Scientific Communication and Engagement

This 2-year program is a joint effort between Rutgers and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. (JJCCI). This program emphasizes Medical Communications/ Education/Scientific exchange, with a focus on healthcare professional engagement related to some of the most popular and innovative oral care, skincare, and topical healthcare brands. The successful candidate will utilize their clinical knowledge in the development of content for healthcare-related publications and meetings and digital media for an array of audiences, including healthcare professionals and consumers. The experience at JJCCI is unique because the Fellow will work with some of the most recognized consumer brands available in the market.  In addition, the Fellow will develop experience in different consumer-focused therapeutic areas, including, but not limited to Oral Care, Baby Care, Skin and Hair Care, Wound Care and others.

Global Consumer Regulatory Affairs

The Regulatory Affairs Fellowship is a two-year program offered by Rutgers and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. (JJCCI). The fellowship focuses on providing a unique opportunity for Pharm.D. graduates to develop knowledge and expertise in the various areas of Regulatory Affairs within the consumer setting. The fellowship provides opportunities to contribute in the development of regulatory strategies that support the growth of our innovative products. This program will allow the fellow to participate in the development, review and approval of labeling and promotional activities.  In addition, the fellow will facilitate the education of key stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and existing and proposed national regulations.  With Johnson & Johnson Consumer’s diverse profile of beauty, skin care, wound care, oral care, and topical healthcare brands, this program offers experiences in multiple regulatory product classifications: Monograph, New Drug Application (NDA), Medical Device, and Cosmetics.

Promotional Compliance

The Promotional Compliance Fellowship is a part of the Pharmaceutical Group Health Care Compliance organization within Johnson & Johnson (J&J). It is a 2-year fellowship focused on providing a unique opportunity for the fellow to develop knowledge, and expertise within both the Health Care Compliance, and Regulatory Advertising and Promotion areas of the pharmaceutical industry. The fellow will have an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of Health Care Compliance program, industry codes, J&J HCC policies, and Federal and State laws as it relates to pharmaceutical companies interactions with Health Care Professionals (HCPs). In addition, the fellow will develop skills to interpret FDA regulations and guidance as it relates to Advertising and Promotion of prescription drugs and biologics to HCPs and consumers. This program provides the fellow an opportunity to work directly with internal business partners on various projects to ensure promotional communications, and interactions with HCPs are in compliance with various laws and regulations.

Immunology Marketing - Promotional Education

The Immunology Marketing - Promotional Education Fellowship, within the Department of Medical Education (DOME), is a part of the commercial organization at Janssen Biotech Inc. of Johnson and Johnson. It is a 2-year fellowship focused on the development of promotional education content and innovative platforms to educate healthcare professionals on the immunology portfolio of products. The fellow will gain experience in developing promotional education across a pharmaceutical portfolio while partnering with marketing and medical colleagues to align key messages with educational strategies. The Fellow’s clinical expertise will be applied when collaborating with key opinion leaders on content development and speaker training. Business and communication skills will be strengthened to fully prepare the fellow to operate in a variety of positions across the pharmaceutical industry. The Immunology Marketing - Promotional Education Fellowship will be recruiting for one fellow for the 2017-2019 timeframe.

Immunology Marketing – Integrated Customer Solutions

The Immunology Marketing – Integrated Customer Solutions Fellowship is a part of the commercial organization at Janssen Biotech Inc. of Johnson and Johnson. It is a 2-year fellowship focused on working across all Janssen Immunology brands and therapeutic areas in developing, shaping and implementing strategies and tactics that enable providers and patients to start and stay on therapy.

The fellow will gain experience developing customer solutions across a pharmaceutical portfolio while partnering with various colleagues to align key messages and strategies. Business and communication skills will be strengthened to fully prepare the fellow to operate in a variety of positions across the pharmaceutical industry. The Immunology Marketing – Integrated Customer Solutions Fellowship will be recruiting for one fellow for the 2017-2019 timeframe.

Commercial Insights & Strategy

The two-year Commercial Insights and Strategy (CIS) fellowship position is a dynamic development opportunity where the fellow learns how to leverage their existing base of knowledge to effectively generate insights to drive key business decisions. The position will allow the fellow to gain experience in several areas of the CIS group, including marketing analytics, sales analytics, market research, and business intelligence. The Commercial Excellence group of Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical sector, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, emphasizes a team-oriented structure in which the fellow works closely with business partners such as Marketing, Managed Markets, Sales, Sales Training, and Medical Affairs. The fellow also collaborates with various outside consultants and agencies to conduct objective and impactful marketing research. The fellow will also develop a thorough understanding of primary and secondary business intelligence by conducting, analyzing, and integrating intelligence into brand strategy. Strong written and oral communication skills are important, along with the ability to interact effectively with individuals in diverse areas of expertise. No experience is required, although candidates should possess intellectual curiosity and express interest in developing strategic thinking and analytical skills.

Oncology Franchise Marketing

The Oncology Franchise Marketing Fellowship, within the Oncology Marketing division, is a part of the commercial organization at Janssen Biotech of Johnson and Johnson. This group is responsible for an integrated strategy across the portfolio.  It is a 2-year fellowship focused on the areas of market access marketing, key account strategy, customer experience and medical education & engagement. The fellow will gain experience in developing promotional education across a Janssen’s Oncology portfolio while partnering with marketing and medical colleagues to align key educational messages with educational strategies. This role will be critical to the growing oncology portfolio of products. The Fellow’s clinical expertise will be applied when collaborating with key opinion leaders on content development and speaker training. Business and communication skills will be strengthened to fully prepare the fellow to operate in a variety of positions across the pharmaceutical industry. The Oncology Franchise Marketing fellowship will be recruiting for three fellows for the 2017-2019 timeframe.
