Position Detailed Descriptions

Global Medical Information and Scientific Communications Fellowship

The Global Medical Information and Global Scientific Communications functions are dedicated to analyzing, developing, and delivering scientifically-balanced data to optimize patient outcomes globally. This is accomplished by translating insights into strategy and educating our internal and external partners with passion, expertise, and a commitment to excellence. The two-year post-doctoral Pharm.D. fellowship offers a framework for individuals to gain experience across these disciplines on a rotational basis coupled with the opportunity to interact with key cross-functional partners in hematology/oncology and inflammation/immunology.

Global Clinical Research & Development Fellowship

The Global Clinical Research & Development (GCR&D) organization is a globally functioning group responsible for developing compounds for the treatment of hematologic and solid tumor malignancies worldwide. CR&D will offer a two-year post-doctoral PharmD fellowship in hematology/oncology. The CR&D fellow will function as a Clinical Research Scientist (CRS) and focus on the science and strategy of drug development. The fellow will learn various aspects of global clinical studies (Phases I-III) including start-up, maintenance and close-out activities in collaboration with the Clinical Research Physician (CRP) and the cross-functional study team.

Global Regulatory Affairs Fellowship

Regulatory Affairs is dedicated to providing research, development and commercialization teams with early and continuous innovative global regulatory strategies, tactical support, and communication with Health Authorities to facilitate product approvals and maximize product potential during commercialization. The program will allow the fellow to participate as a key member of several regulatory functions including Regulatory Intelligence, Strategy & Development, Advertising and Promotion, and the Global Labeling Team as projects arise.

U.S. Health Economics and Outcomes Research Fellowship

The U.S. Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) organization at Celgene is responsible for developing, executing and communicating research strategies to help define the real-world value of our hematology and oncology (HemOnc) and inflammation and immunology (I&I) products. The real-world evidence generated by HEOR aims to limit barriers to access, optimize utilization, and expand the clinical and economic body of evidence for Celgene products and associated disease states.

The objective of the program is to fully prepare the fellow for a career as an HEOR professional through practical training at Celgene with possible supplemental coursework from Rutgers University towards completion of a related masters degree. The fellow will have the opportunity to understand the role of HEOR throughout the lifecycle of a product and be involved with various HEOR studies, including comparative effectiveness, real-world evidence generation, health economic modeling, and patient-reported outcomes.

Hematology & Oncology Medical Affairs Fellowship

Medical Affairs is committed to answering critical open research questions for unmet medical needs by conducting various types of innovative trials with marketed products in hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. The Celgene Medical Affairs Fellowship offers a 2 year fellowship to gain industry experience and knowledge in post marketing clinical research. The fellow will function as scientific manager but is not limited to this role as this unique program is designed to provide a broad exposure of other applicable roles within Medical Affairs.
