How To Apply

Following the Fellowship Information and Networking Day

Candidates should set up their applicant account, fill out the candidate interest form, and submit their CV. Checking off interest in a specific fellowship alerts the selected company of your interest in interviewing for the position at Midyear. If you have not already done so, please register for Personnel Placement Service (PPS) on the ASHP website. Candidates must be registered in order to enter the PPS exhibit to interview.

Note: Checking off a specific fellowship does NOT lock you in to interviewing for the position at Midyear or guarantee a specific time slot.

Step 1
Create an account and log into the applicant portal
Step 2
Select the fellowships you are interested in via the Candidate Interest Form (CIF)
Step 3
Upload your CV
Step 4
List the names and email addresses of the individuals writing your letters of recommendation in your profile on the Applicant Portal. They will be sent a link to use to upload your letter of recommendation directly to the Applicant Portal.

Attend Midyear

RPIF will be conducting interviews in the PPS exhibit hall at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in Las Vegas, NV from December 3-6. Only specific to the Rutgers program, interview sign-ups will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 3. Additional details will be discussed on the RPIF Webinars on Wednesday, October 19 and Monday, November 21 as well as at Fellowship Information and Networking Day (FIND) on Friday, November 18.

Following Midyear

Candidates should begin submitting materials immediately to enhance their opportunities for being selected for a fellowship.

  • Required application materials:
    • Online Candidate Interest Form (CIF)
    • Letter of Interest
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • Electronic submission of application materials through the Applicant Portal is strongly preferred and is a distinct advantage when distributing your application materials to those companies with mutual interest.
Step 1
Ensure your CV is up to date and uploaded to the portal
Step 2
Review and edit your previously submitted Candidate Interest Form to reflect fellowship programs you wish to formally apply to
Step 3
Submit your Letter of Interest formally stating the fellowship programs you would like to apply to. There is no limit to the number of programs you may express interest in, however, try to be sincere about your interests. Generally, companies do not pursue candidates who have not expressed an interest in them.
Step 4
Obtain three general letters of recommendation from professional or academic sources. Since you are applying to the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program, there should not be a letter for each company in which you have an interest, just three letters of recommendation suitable for any of the RPIF partner companies.
