About the Rutgers Component
A significant majority of the fellowship experience is spent at the participating company gaining industry experience. In addition, fellows participate in certain activities at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, including attendance of monthly Professional Development Days (PDD) and presenting once annually in the Professional Development program. All fellows receive an adjunct faculty appointment at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and have the opportunity to teach, develop, and coordinate courses, serve on various fellowship committees, conduct continuing education programs, participate in various projects, and attend networking opportunities. Rutgers is committed to providing fellows with an opportunity to obtain both academic and traditional clinical pharmacy experience.

The Professional Development series at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy has been developed to provide Fellows with additional opportunities to explore current events and issues impacting various components of the pharmaceutical industry. This series has been specifically tailored to allow Fellows to share and expand on areas of interest encountered during the course of the Fellowship. Conventional topics offer the opportunity for Fellows to enhance their clinical knowledge. Faculty members and Fellows participate in these informational seminars presented on a regular basis throughout the academic year.
